Dreamit Ventures Announces Spring 2020 Cohort, Kicks Off Its First Fully Virtual Program

The venture fund launched a completely virtual program with a focus on helping 13 Urbantech, Healthtech, and Securetech startups with business development, customer growth, and capital raising in a time of economic uncertainty.

Dreamit Ventures, an early-stage venture fund and growth-focused program for startups with early product-market fit, announced its latest batch of startups and kicked off its completely virtual Securetech, Urbantech, and Healthtech programs.

Dreamit works with top healthcare, cybersecurity, and urban technology startups, providing access to extensive customer, industry, and investor networks during its 14-week program.

Since 2008, Dreamit has worked with over 350 companies. In 2019 Dreamit saw over $600 million in exits of companies that got their start at Dreamit, including LevelUp (acquired by GrubHub), Trendkite (acquired by Cision), and Adaptly (acquired by Accenture). Other well-known Dreamit startups include SeatGeek, HouseParty, Wellth, Biomeme, Tissue Analytics, Redox, Eko Devices, Raxar, Cherre, Elevate, and many others. View Dreamit’s full portfolio here

Dreamit is an industry leader known for providing expertise in pressure testing, scaling, business development, and fundraising. Startups in the three programs partner, pilot, and sell to some of the largest corporations in the world and meet with top-tier investors.

The Dreamit team is already working closely with its new cohort of B2B startups on issues related to surviving and thriving during an economic downturn. “We’re adjusting to a new normal,” states Steve Barsh, Managing Partner at Dreamit. “During the best of times, building startups is not easy. During difficult times, it’s even harder and startups must be on their “A” game at all times. Dreamit’s extensive coaching, pressure testing, and both Customer and Investor Sprints are more important than ever to a startup’s success. Dreamit’s core team have all successfully built companies and been through downturns and can help guide startups during challenging times.”

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Dreamit had already structured much of its program to increase startup flexibility around participating on a remote basis. “This pandemic is accelerating a trend in more and more startups utilizing remote workforces and closing sales with virtual demos,” states Barsh. “As a global program, we have built a platform and processes to enable startups from different parts of the world to participate in our programs and have a very rich experience.”
