Ruvna Releases "Ruvna Health" to Prepare Schools for COVID-19 Reopening

Ruvna (Dreamit - ‘16), a safety and communication platform for school systems, is releasing a new product this fall providing COVID-19 screening, tracking, and compliance for schools and districts called Ruvna Health.

Ruvna’s core business provides a suite of solutions to streamline school safety when it matters most through rapid alerts, real-time attendance, panic signals, and more. These value propositions align well with Ruvna Health, which will help schools prepare for COVID-19 readiness and rapidly stand up new safety procedures when reopen.

Why It Matters

Timing is key here as the CDC recently issued new recommendations for schools to screen students and staff every day prior to entering the building for fevers and other COVID symptoms. Ruvna is one of the first platforms to offer a viable solution specifically designed for school systems. Joey Nutinsky, CEO of Ruvna, created the new product in response to, “dozens of requests from clients to help them manage the massive challenge of screening every student before entering the building each day”.

How It Works

With Ruvna Health, students will complete a digital health monitoring assessment that follows best practice guidelines from their own devices before even leaving their homes. Based on self-reported health status, Ruvna will instruct symptomatic students to stay home without any intervention from the school, and streamline the arrival process by verifying symptom-free students through an in-app barcode scan prior to entry. Moreover, schools will leverage the data captured by Ruvna Health to understand the prevalence of symptoms throughout their facilities, enabling them to close school due to rising trends prior to the spread of full-blown outbreaks.
