43North Startup Competition
Our friends at 43North are looking to invest up to $1M in promising startups that are willing to relocate to Buffalo, NY.
43North has crowned 37 winners of their startup competition since coming on the scene as part of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Buffalo Billion initiative in 2014, and alumni of the program have gone on to raise more than $70 million in follow-on funding. See their portfolio here.
Here's what they are looking for in the startups that apply:
- Raised at least $500k previously
- 3-8 employees
- Some form of 3rd party validation (customers, graduated from an accelerator, etc.)
- Willing to relocate to Buffalo for 2019
This is a fantastic opportunity for startups that are open to locating their startup in a very affordable city that has the potential to be a thriving startup ecosystem in the coming years.
